Data sources and licences

Many locations, opening hours and details come from OpenStreetMap, the map anyone can edit. Data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL 1.0). Records from OpenStreetMap link back to the original object, where anyone can correct them. If you would like the OpenStreetMap-derived part of our database, write to us.

Additional places come from the Overture Maps Foundation. The places data is published under CDLA-Permissive 2.0; parts of Overture that derive from OpenStreetMap remain under ODbL. See Overture’s attribution page.

Names of towns, regions and postcodes come from GeoNames, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).

For more than a hundred networks (among them DPD, GLS, InPost, DHL, UPS, FedEx, La Poste, Poste Italiane, Poczta Polska, Nova Poshta, Evri, PTT and Correos) we read the facts that the carrier itself publishes in its public branch finder: location, address, opening hours and services. We follow each site’s robots.txt, keep the request rate low and identify our crawler. These records link to the carrier’s own page.
