How to collect a parcel from a locker

A locker lets you pick up a parcel without queueing at a counter. The steps differ a little between networks, so here is the general order first and then what each carrier says on its own website.

01Four steps

  1. Wait for the message. When the parcel is in the locker, the carrier sends a text, an email or an app notification with the locker’s location and a code.
  2. Check where the locker is. Open the locker address on a map. A locker inside a shop or station can only be reached while the building is open.
  3. Open the compartment. Scan the QR code at the screen, type the code, or open it from the carrier’s app, depending on the network (see the table).
  4. Take the parcel and close the door. If the compartment is empty or holds someone else’s parcel, contact the carrier before you leave.

This is a general outline; where a network’s own rules differ, they win.
